Bronte and Dominic (Constantine, 2018) first crossed paths as new Constantine College students, living just a few floors apart in block B2 and studying the same subject. What began as a friendly fresher-week routine of walking to economics lectures together soon unfolded into a story neither of them expected.
“We both lived in Constantine college in its first year open – block B2 – 2nd and 4th floors. We were both also studying economics and along with some people who we are still good friends with today met at freshers week events and all agreed to travel to campus together for lectures. It wasn’t until later in the year that Dominic and I became closer – and a night at Stone Roses and Kuda was the beginning of us being more than friends!
It wasn’t until the end of first year we officially got together – at that point I’d decided to switch courses and ended up repeating first year but it was lovely to already have a good friendship group and Dominic and well… the rest is history!
We’ve now been together for nine and a half years, we own a house together in Surrey that we’re in the process of decorating and very recently (just before Christmas) got engaged on a York Christmas market trip outside the York Minster. We are both now Civil Servants working in Whitehall. We have a cat, Loula, and spend our weekends exploring the Surrey countryside or London, finding new pubs and restaurants to try.”
