Catriona Nunn Meeting during a difficult time in Alya’s life, Alex became her constant support. Now happily married, they love taking walks around their old campus and reminiscing about their student days at York.
“We met through a flatmate of mine. I was going through a tough time. Having no family here, I was left with little to no support, but Alex took the time to check in on me every single day. He always made sure I was well-fed, happy & healthy always even when he was sick himself. If the buses were late, just like in Bollywood movies, he would run to the train station to see me off instead.
After four years of knowing each other, Alex finally converted to Islam and proposed.
Now, we are happily married and enjoy going on walks around the campus from time to time to clear our minds and de-stress whilst reminiscing memories from our student days at York.”
