Guest Writer Meeting on their first day at York and dating during their first year, Harriet and Dan quickly became inseparable. After graduating and relocating to London, they are now engaged and planning their wedding.
“Dan and I met on our first day at York during our campus tour. We spent a lot of time with each other, though he did what every 18 year old boy did when they have a crush, and was very irritating every now and then!
We started dating in the Christmas holidays of our first year, moved in together in final year, then relocated to London after graduation to start our careers. We got engaged in August 2023 and are now planning our wedding for next year!
We live in London, and even though we love the huge number of things to do around the city, we always try to find a way to spend time together – like the weekly local pub quiz. I work in advertising for Disney, Dan works in strategy consulting for pharmaceutical companies. After a hectic week of not seeing each other, we even admitted that we had missed each other after only 2-3 evenings apart!
Ever since we met we’ve been best friends for each other – I can’t imagine anyone else I could have more fun with every single day.”
