Catriona Nunn Introducing another York Alumni Love Story who met in Derwent bar on Valentine’s Day .
“I graduated from York in 1979 and completed my PGCE at York in 1980. I returned to the university to visit some friends and on St Valentine’s Day we had some drinks in Derwent bar. With them was Pauline (Alcuin 1981).
We went to the weekly quiz at The Charles in Heslington and our team came first. I was returning home the following day so couldn’t enjoy the prize of 4 pints of beer, but I had my eyes on a greater prize when I walked Pauline back to her lodgings at Eden’s Court.
In March, we will be celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary!”
